Specialities
Few cookery schools can lay claim to a 2,350-acre organic farm on their doorstep, so when it comes to making the most of exceptional ingredients, Daylesford’s culinary HQ in the Cotswolds definitely has the edge. The dairy comes from the creamery next door; produce straight from the market garden; and all meat and poultry is raised on site Housed in a glorious old stone barn, the school’s high-spec kitchens are decorated in Daylesford’s signature elegant homey style and play host to full-day, half-day and evening classes in a phenomenal range of topics. The culinary calendar caters to all ages and abilities, from cooking for babies and courses for children and teens, to essential skills for students and masterclasses for seasoned kitchen maestros. You can go the whole hog with the comprehensive six-week Chef Experience evening course, or pick and choose from the likes of game cookery, making the most of Christmas leftovers, show-stopping canapés, healthy eating, raw and foraged food, nose-to-tail butchery or even a cookery/floristry combo class. And, thanks to the cluster of holiday cottages and the lovely spa on site, your time at Daylesford doesn’t have to end at the kitchen door.
